How to Speed Up an Elementor Website

Elementor is powerful but can get heavy. Here's how to make an Elementor site fast without rebuilding it.

Elementor sites can be fast — the slowness usually comes from bloat, not Elementor itself.

1. Enable Elementor's performance features

Turn on "Improved CSS Loading", "Optimized DOM Output" and "Inline Font Icons" under Elementor → Settings → Features.

2. Reduce widgets & DOM size

Fewer nested containers and widgets = a lighter DOM and faster rendering.

3. Handle fonts

Load Google Fonts with `swap` or self-host them. Limit the number of font families.

4. Cache & optimise

Use WP Rocket or LiteSpeed Cache to combine/defer CSS and JS, and serve WebP images.
